“Inspector Gadget” Gadgets That Now Exist

Chillopedia | While many science fiction movies hold almost eerily accurate guesses as to the future of technology, this article will discover how three gadgets from the popular children’s show full of gadgetry from the early 1980s have, in some form, been realized. Inspector Gadget was the beloved yet clueless cyborg policeman best known for summoning innumerable gadgets from his coat, hat, and body in order to get himself out of sticky situations. Along with his genius niece Penny and dog Brian, the crew fought the nefarious plans of his arch nemesis Dr. Claw. (Hi-tech)

So because the BB Playbook is called the "playbook", they compared it to an actual book with a computer in it?

Well, they kind of do the same things.

Besides, if they only had two gadgets on the list it'd be kind of a silly list. Now they have three.

Sony's Wonderbook was probably next in line so let's just take it for what it is.

I suppose it is as much about having computer technology that is the same sort of size and capability. Back when the cartoon was made in the mid 80s, that sort of computer tech came at a cost, as in the computer would be the size of a pickup truck.

Today we don't realise how much computer performance we have in such a small space!

Any of these tablets would absolutely trounce the fastest computer in the world in 1985, without breaking sweat.

All the computers used to build the atom bomb + all the computers used to put Neil Armstrong on the moon < my android phone.

Edit: and that's their combined processing power.

Brian is the dog on Family Guy.
Inspector Gadget's dog was Brain.
Just shoot me for knowing that.
