Piracy Website Owner Gets Four Years Jail

Gadgehit.com writes: "Anton Vickerman, owner of a website that promoted piracy, has been jailed for four years after was found guilty of two counts of “conspiracy to defraud”. The website he ran, surfthechannel.com, linked to users to copyrighted data such as music and films. Vickerman’s defence was that he did not host any pirated content on the website, but only that he linked to it." (Culture, Industry, Web)
