TFP: Patients unable to breathe because of acute lung failure or an obstructed airway need another way to get oxygen to their blood—and fast—to avoid cardiac arrest and brain injury. A team led by researchers at Boston Children’s Hospital has designed tiny, gas-filled microparticles that can be injected directly into the bloodstream to quickly oxygenate the blood.
But... this is only the beginning... who knows what types of applications this can be used for... For example, imagine having it available for miners if there is a collapse... or on subs in the event that the air system is compromised... or on the ISS or in space capsules... or, even, yes, on the Moon or Mars for permanent settlements... who knows where they can go with this.
Injecting yourself 4 times would stack up to 60 minutes!! That's an hour!!! Imagine all the "hold your breath the longest" matches you could win >_<
:P
The rat they submerged in the movie was real, you're watching it breathe the stuff.
You just blew my ****ing mind.
so the first thing they might do when they find u passed out cause u are choked on something stuck in your throat is to inject you with this stuff and could save u from being a vegetable..
or for someone thats had head trauma in a motorcycle accident this can help them maybe on way to the ER
....is $5 enough :I
