Man Orders TV Through Amazon, Gets Assault Rifle

Wired - When D.C. resident Seth Horvitz ordered a flat-panel TV on Amazon, he didn’t expect to get a military-grade assault rifle in return.

Horvitz ordered the TV, a Westinghouse 39-inch LCD, for about $320 from a third-party electronics seller on Amazon.

On Tuesday evening, a large, oblong box arrived at his doorstep via UPS Ground. (Amazon, Services)

Yeah but can you plug a PS3 into the assault rifle?
Racer-X  +   288d ago
Of course! With COD logic.

get in trouble?... how bout he could have protected himself and loved ones from one of the many pill popping depressed crazy loons this world has developed.

hide it under the bed and keep you rat mouth shut if you have any sense.
Because assault rifles are so useful in enclosed areas like that. Better off with a 5-7 or a shotgun, especially if you can get those bean bag rounds.

The only way he would really get in trouble is if he got caught with an un-registered gun. If the place didn't report it and he does nothing illegal, nothing to worry about.

However I guess its a good thing he was safe about it, probably got ripped off for being kind, but eh.

Sadly Amazon has the best customer service and best shipping I've ever dealt with, so my hundreds of orders always go through properly.....sadly.... :P

that gun is worth more than $320, stupid of him for returning it, come marshall law and fema camps in the USA that guy is gonna regret not having that gun.
First of all, Marshall is a name for a guy who wears too much hair gel. It's also a sort of law enforcement officer. You're thinking of martial law.
Second: fema camps are for undesirables, guys in tinfoil hats are no threat to the established order, neither are people who return high powered rifles shipped to them by mistake. The real threats are the bloodhounds and pitbulls.
