MIC Gadget - It’s no secret that Android tablet sales have lagged far behind Apple’s iPad. The reason? Price and user experience. Some 10-inch Android tablets cost as much as an iPad, and some of them are painfully slow when it comes to gaming and multitasking. Apparently, Huawei’s upcoming quad-core tablet MediaPad 10 FHD would be something different. It will be powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor along with 2GB of RAM, and it will be available for sale in late August for less than $500.
Engadget: Toward the end of Huawei's Mobile World Congress press event this past February, company executives made a brief mention of an upcoming 10-inch, quad-core tablet. For the media in attendance, it was a coup d'oeil at best and a dangling hardware carrot, for sure. At the time, the company kept curious journalists at bay, but did confirm some high-end specs: a 1,920 x 1,200 IPS display, 8-megapixel rear camera, LTE (Cat 4) / DC-HSPA+ radios and a proprietary, quad-core K3V2 CPU buffered by 2GB of RAM. It wouldn't be until CTIA in New Orleans three months later when we'd actually get some hands-on time with device.
Android Central - Huawei announced the MediaPad 10 FHD all the way back at February at Mobile World Congress. That feels like an age away, but it seems that the 10.1 inch tablet may be due to release sooner rather than later. The above promotional video has shown up on Huawei's YouTube channel today, and it looks the marketing guys have done a great job with a flashy promo video for Huawei's flagship tab.
I keep saying it once a premium tablet sold for 150 drops nothing is changing the tablet game.
