Pocket-Lint: Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer is set to take to the stage in San Francisco at 8pm (GMT) tonight to announce the company’s next big reveal. While we have it on good authority that we’ll be seeing the new Office 15 productivity suite, what features this will entail remains a mystery.
At last month’s Google I/O conference, Google gave Office users the ability to edit documents in Docs, which was one of the sticking points for those considering a jump to Google.
Maximum PC: "Initially, Windows RT devices, including Microsoft’s own “ARM-ed” Surface tablet, will only be available with a preview version of Office 2013 RT, Microsoft announced today in a post on the Office Next blog. But don’t scrap your Windows RT purchase plans yet because, starting early November, these devices will be automatically updated with the final version of Office Home & Student 2013 RT."
Will be interesting to see how close Office for Windows and Office for RT really end up being.
