Dell has always been a bit of a 'no frills' and 'does exactly what it says on the tin' I've had a Dell laptop and it was pretty bullet proof and never gave me issues, I've also had a Dell laptop in work and a Dell Axim PDA and both performed well and never gave me problems. I wouldn't have a Dell for my home desktop PC though, I rather build my own as they can be a little over priced for the specification.
