Rumor: New PS3 model photographed

Joystiq: What seems to be a picture of a weird-looking new PS3 popped up on the site of Anatel (the Brazilian Agency of Telecommunications). The image depicts a PS3-labeled device with a ridged texture and what appears to be a sliding panel on top – perhaps indicating a cheaper top-loading disc drive. (Gadgets, Gaming, PS3)

Doesn't look good. tbh

maybe because it's a test model.

i have a original 60GB the newer fat 80GB and a slim. personally the slim is my favourite its unreal that a ps3 can be so small and do so much. i trust theyll make a super slim sexy too

It looks like the disc drive is one that slides to the right, anyone else see that?
IRetrouk  +   307d ago
I'd say the part with the ps3 on it slides over to the left, over the other bit

LOL. This is rubbish and probably a pre-model made when making the origional PS3. Sony won't be releasing any more models imo.

That thing fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.

They noted that the PS3 will use the same system disk insertion of the PS2 Slim? They took the drawers to lower the costs.
abzdine  +   307d ago
im wondering about that top part and how they planned for disc insertion. Will it open like PS2 or half of it has to slide to the side ? I hope they kept the same system as slim.

there is a button in the middle for opening the hatch if you look good. i like that they can make it alot cheaper and its still sexy but the original slim is my favorite with aluminated buttons and small lights for system on and disk in, the newer slims dnt have those lights on them even the wifi light they removed.
