iDigital Times- Google has had no problem drumming up support for the next Android update, especially because it didn't announce any major updates at its annual developer's conference -- Google I/O -- in May. Fans of the operating system have been clamoring for information about the major next upgrade for months, but Google hasn't made any announcements about Android aside from launching a few new apps. Google Keyboard just came out Wednesday, and the company also launched a new cloud service called Google Keep several months ago. However, Google has not made any major adjustments to Android since the release of Android 4.2.2 in November 2012.

It would be awesome if Google release a 64bit Android for PC, since that platform is already dominating the market just like Microsoft's windows.. It could be a great time to pursue it since Windows 8 is struggling to capture the PC consumers and instead sticking to Windows 7 for good.
I'm pretty sure many PC manufacturers will jump ship to Google if that happens. I don't really understand why Google still chooses to push CHROME OS instead of expanding the android to PC desktop/laptop.
