Apple now need to change there game. They need to offer different price ranges as well as screen sizes to keep up with android and stop windows phone from catching up to them.

Apple can not grow in there current form factor in tablets and phone market.

Android has already managed to get a big grip on the market and has lots of support from Samsung, Sony and htc. Windows phone has Nokia pushing it very hard at the moment and already has 7% of the uk market and is growing fast in the up and coming markets to.

Also windows 8 now has 7.5% of the tablet market and this was after 4 months on the market.

I don't think apple will be doomed as there is more than enough from for all 3 on the market and I think rim will be the one to drop out but android and windows phone have now become better os's to use than ios and are also simple os's to use.

Odd Apple have never changed their pricing for any competitors.

Macbook has always been made and sold at a price about $800+

There has been laptops, netbooks, tablets, hybrids e.t.c but it never made them change what they priced there laptop at.

Apple are computing company.
Samsung are multifaceted manufacturing company.

Spot the difference.

Im not saying Apple need to change there pricing of a single device what I mean is that Apple now need to make different versions of there tablets and phones if they want to keep top spot.

For example not everyone wants a 3.5" screen or even a 4" screen. Some people want a tablet with a screen format like the Surface some want them 7" if apple offered formats like this it would help there sales.

I've been saying this for a while, Apple have a 'new' phone and an 'old' phone where as every other large manufacturer has their big flagship phone but also various mid-low level phones with different specs and prices which appeal to a broader market.

Apple in their current direction will ultimately crash and burn.

i jumped in to iphones with the day 1 4s 32 gb for 200 dollars. didnt feel the need to get the 5 or anything esle that comes after 5 for a long while. dont see how some people get the upgrade every year but then i realise some people just are weak willed or sheep. they arent in control of there own destiny. the tv, the media and such is. i suppose if they offer some ground breaking features i will upgrade to the next one but i doubt it.
