Well, we all knew it was coming!

Vyralize4010d ago

Thank God! Now I can choose if I want a PS4 or new Xbox.

stuna14010d ago

I still plan on getting a PS4, this just means dependent on what Microsoft reveals the next Xbox will also be a purchase.

CraigandDayDay4009d ago

Same here stuna1. Ps4 for sure. Xbox maybe. Depending on what it does. And if they bring more new exclusives.

chukamachine4009d ago

Would not touch the next xbox.

Nintendo has lost the plot. With the would u.

Sony is going strong, has the best hardware and exclusives coming. DAY1.

Mikefizzled4009d ago

Out of interest where does it say that the PS4 is more powerful than the Next Box? The only thing that is being confirmed is to exist.

TemplarDante4009d ago

Sony has stolen all the thunder and is still yet to unveil the PS4. Truth is, if MSFT DOES NOT address every rumor (always on etc), lots of skeptical consumers will be left with doubt until the Xbox Next reaches store shelves.

Microsoft is the best out of the current console manufacturers at keeping their projects private and secret. Look at the slim Xbox for instance. It was only the day before the slim got announced that the first picture was shown and that was a cock up by the Italian Xbox website. They uploaded an ad by mistake. They managed to develop, design and manufacture the slim over the course of a few years without any major leaks. There was a few leaks of the Valhalla motherboard but that was it.

On the other hand look at Sony their slim ps3 and PSP GO had all the details and pictures leaked nearly a year before its official announcement at E3. Credit to them though their NA CEO went on stage and joked about being the market leader on leaked information.

Sony played the PS4 very well and a thing to point out they did not inform 3rd party developers of the 8gb to keep it secret. Who knows what false lies Microsoft might have told 3rd party developers. Lets face it the majority of leaks come from 3rd party developers that's how scene members get a hold of leaked software and development hardware.

I think Microsoft will blow us away. I thought they would announce at E3 and release in June as a great publicity stunt like they done with the slim 360. Who knows they still might launch in June to beat Sony to the mark who knows. I did read that due to Microsoft acquiring a small software developer who made a torrent app which when the company was bought came out it was to do with the next Xbox. It all came out in the documents that Microsoft would launch the next Xbox in June.

Who knows? I would love it in June as long as the launch line up was decent enough. I wouldn't be surprised if the launch of GTA V was put back to do with the launch of next gen.

Hey who knows it is going to be an interesting year for gaming that's for sure. A good thing for struggling game (not the company GAME in particular) retailers.

well said, sony has yet to play its hand. i don't think the reveal will be much more than microsoft saying "yes there will be a next xbox and yes its coming" they will probably leave all the big stuff for E3. sony did a good job at making a big deal and generate alot of hype but also not give the whole picture, i suspect ms will do likewise. still waiting for E3 though that's where shits going down. if microsoft do indeed show the whole package on the 21st i will be pleasantly surprised.
