One day none of us will use Facebook, it's a crazy thought..

XboxInnovation4061d ago (Edited 4061d ago )

I've never even visited Facebook before. I should be famous for it.

After my time spent on myspace I didn't want to be bothered with people I haven't seen in years, and I'm too much of a private person to share my everyday life. So Facebook was an easy decision to avoid. No temptation whatsoever.

Vishaka4062d ago

Anyone deleting their facebook account would be wise to back it up first and archive it, you may be bored with it all now and decide that you don't want any further interaction with it but most people have hundreds of pictures that they've taken or been tagged in, that they simply don't bother to back up elsewhere, there are a few solutions out there but I use www.frostbox.com to back up all my social media

crysister4062d ago

Yes-it'd be a foolish decision to cut ties with something so socially powerful

Speed-Racer4062d ago

Not really. If anything I've learnt, Facebook is more trouble than good. The only reason I keep it is to manage a few Pages. Otherwise, I don't use it for any real communication. I prefer other networks such as Twitter.

Settler4062d ago

Agreed, I'm also using Facebook just because of my few blog fan pages and for me Facebook, is a home of fake people who change their sex (specially boys)to get to some likes on their spam posts

Ridiculous !!

'Ask for Your Friends' Birthdays'

If you don't even know your friends birthdays you're not a very good friend.

kulana4062d ago

Because memorization of dates makes you a good friend?

mushroomwig4062d ago

Well...yes, actually. What person would forget a friends birthday?

adorie4062d ago

Would also be nice to remember your friends name too, imo.

KingPin4062d ago

"Virgin detected."

memorization of dates is important in life.

forget your gfs birthday once and you going to have to change your facebook status to "single" by the evening. but you wouldn't know. at least we know why you on facebook. its like an assistant to help you remember stuff.

Gregard4061d ago

Don't mind them kulana. I think in all these social bullcrap, we lost track of what is truly important.

Sure I remember the birth dates of my gf and my family. But no, I don't remember the birth dates of all my friends. I love them all dearly, and I would die in an instant if needed to save one them, and they know this. I doubt they would be upset if I ask them to remind me of their birth date...

For girls I guess it's more important to remember this kind of things, but if your love is genuine, is gonna take a lot more than forgetting a date to change your status back to single :P

Hating on Facebook is getting old.

Facebook is very important, people that hates it are just haters who doesn't have any real friends and hates their relatives aswell cause Facebook is not just for friends its also for connecting with far away relatives.

Nobody cares if you hate Facebook. go hate something else.

kingmushroom4061d ago

yeah couldn't agree more with you.

my haters are my motivators

NaViTo4061d ago

Yeah, and of course before Facebook there was no way to comunicate to your relatives... /sarcasm

And I'm not going to comment on your "are just haters who doesn't have any real friends and hates their relatives aswell". That's one of the problems with this generation, they think having a lot of links on his Facebook pages makes them a better person or something! (Oh My God)
