Nexus 4 Sells Out In Just 30 Minutes

TechtheWeek

Google's flagship phone, the Nexus 4, sold out in just 30 mins today. With people in their thousands out searching for that 4" bargain

And you can see why. With it starting at just £239 for the 8GB model and £279 for the 16GB model. It is an astonishing price for a product that runs Android 4.2 out-of-the-box, with in-built wireless charging, has a quad-core processor and an 8GB camera. It can't be a bad deal.

It was on sale for a few hours in the US store though. What happened was that the system bottle necked due to the massive demand, and the system disallowed orders to deal with the load.

You would have thought that Google should be able to cope with that high demand

"....has a quad-core processor and an 8GB camera..."

8GB camera? is this something new? im assuming its a typo and they mean 8 megapixels.

corrections welcome.

Thanks King Pin. Will change it now. What do you thing of the Nexus 4?

KingPin4169d ago

you welcome man.

glad you didnt take my correction as some sort of personal attack thinking im being sarcastic.

thoughts on the Nexus 4, seems like a good phone. though i need to see what the software features are like. the multitasking on the SG note 2 seem unchallenged though the size of that phone bugs me.
But yeah, if its in high demand that means the custom roms and after market support will be there in bucket loads.

I suppose there will be loads of custom roms. I have the Nexus 7 and the Android 4.2 update came out yesterday. It had some nice new features: swype style typing, better multitasking, multiple users and lock screen widgets. All very nice and with it being a Google run product, updates will be out really quickly.
I guess we will see as all of the reviews come out.
