After all that Big Fruity has accomplished against the Korean company, I'm not not all that surprised by Samsung's response.

We've already seen what happened with their screen replacement. The demand was more than Sharp expected.

Will Big Fruity contract another supplier that can't handle their demands. Only time will tell.

100% exactly

The Way that both Microsoft and Apple are leveraging their IP rights, these other Hardware component companies are going to respond in kind and make the products with a loss in profit, or increase the cost per component to software companies that mainly do not make the components that they make their own IP patents off of. While smart to design your own software patent that way, pissing in the cornflakes of those companies that make the components for your products may be "just making business first a priority" it is just that if you want your money they also want their money, you demand money for components you can complain about what they are asking for each component, but do not expect the company making such hardware components to just roll over when you tax them and not expect something in return.

Doesn't Apple have a patent on price gouging?

It was only a matter of time before this happened. Samsung is going to come crawling back to apple in a couple years when its largest customer leaves for other suppliers and drives market prices...

What will happen if Samsung has to continue without the newest Apple designs sent to their factories ? For the moment they have access to all newest Apple-technology (A6), must be saving them some buck on R&D.
