Good! It's time to step up to them. Our government was stupid borrowing money and stupid letting all the jobs go there. China wants to play around, America needs to show its strength too. Time to quit getting pushed around.
ZeroX9876  +   1140d ago
seems like the US can`t even pay their debts. taking money from other countries to attack them after?

WOW, so proud!
scott182  +   1139d ago
THE US didn't borrow money "to" attack China, they borrowed it for political reasons, wanted alot of china's goods to hopefully make friends. China is huge and they are throwing their weight around, America will try to pay off debts but doesn't want to be bullied by them either. P.S. US wont be the only one bullied by china..

The US borrowed money to fund illegal undeclared wars in the middle east, and now wants to attack china because they can't repay those debts.

Lol if USA Gov wants to die faster that's a good way to start, like if they could actually win against china in a war. Their missiles probably say made in china too and I'm pretty sure japan would step in too.

Lets not forget the Iran issue.

The US had no problems jumping into a war against guys with rocks in caves during the war in Afgan but as soon as Iran started researching nuclear power the states had all these issues with them and Iran said you so much is try to invade us you will be met with our military full force. The US military put their tail between their legs and scampered back home.

The US can't afford another big war.
Soldierone  +   1139d ago
Yeah because China has the healthiest people in the world right? Their poor living conditions will kill them faster than American soldiers. There is a reason people go to America for help, only country with a military capable of fighting is Russia, which will most likely be helping America in this.

It's China playing around, America has nothing against them. You want to showcase weapons? America will do it too, fair is fair.

I find it funny all the anti-American scrubs are still ignorant about everything America does. Go on keep bashing the country, because it just makes people laugh.

United States will not be the superpower forever and China is bound to become a superpower. It is the United States that has been pushing around countries not the other way around. Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and many other such poor weak countries. It is the only country that is invading other countries left and right today and justifies it with lies like Weapons of Mass Destruction in case of Iraq and Osama Bin Laden in case of Afghanistan. Both of the claims turned out to be false and the US government only fired the CIA chief as an apology after ruining two countries. Actually we all know the real reason behind United States agression which is oil and not "jihadis". The same Mujahideen/Jihadis which are called terrorists today were heroes a few decades ago when they were fighting the Russians with American support. United States is a bully, lier and a hypocrite that likes to abuse its military and economic power. However, China will not be a child's play like Afghanistan and Iraq.
scott182  +   1139d ago
China abuses their own people and they will rule the world with an iron fist once they take over. Hope you are brushing up on your chinese. Get ready to starve, to be pushed around, thrown in jail for speaking ill of the chinese leader and having the internet censored... Go China!

And? If America wasn't there for the oil, you don't think other countries would be there with different rules about it? They did find Sadam and they did find Osama, so how is that a lie? Countries celebrated when America took both men down. Some of the "lies" benefit more countries than America.

You think China will be any better? Look at how they treat their own country.... now imagine them in control! Anyone that wants China to be a super power has lost it... (Not saying you want that, just pointing it out)

Your USA is killing millions in the name of "War on Terror" which is actually the War on Oil. It is simply looting and plundering on a global scale! Beating up third world countries, destroying them and taking their resources under some false excuse for invasion. United States is the biggest bully and terrorist in the world. A country that fights "terrorism" by terrorizing others. Do you know that according to BBC news more than 60,000 innocent Pakistani civilians have been killed by United States in drone strikes in Pakistan? You are rallying and supporting such actions?? Despicable indeed.
Tultras  +   1139d ago
I live in Pakistan.

No, drone strikes have NOT killed 60,000 civilians in Pakistan, that's impossible.

I actually receive info on what the media channels broadcast abroad ( my uncles live in America, Canada etc ), i find most of it hilarious.
grifter024  +   1139d ago
Asim- Did you know that throughout the history of the Earth that people have been fighting the entire time?

Every damn populated zone on this Earth right now has been in a fight one time or another AND has caused civilian casualties. I know it's the cool thing for everyone to bash America saying we fight for anything but don't turn a blind eye and be ignorant in thinking every other country is holding daisies and skipping around.

Everyone already forgot that China was trying to overinflate money to get an upper hand, Japan is in a slippery slope with Korea, everyone in the middle east is always fighting.

Turning a blind eye and painting one government evil. Despicable indeed.
Flavor  +   1139d ago
Actually, grifter, America had a chance for real world peace after the collapse of the USSR, but threw it away for greed and invasion.

We instigated Afghanistan uprising in 79. We instigated the breakup of the balkans. We gave our buddy Saddam the green light to attack iran then invade Kuwait then played white knight in desert storm.

We invaded Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, and Pakistan. yes, pakistan. We bomb Somalia and yemen.

Now we antagonize China and stir up an arms race in the pacific, while funding a brutal civil war in Syria.

Who is turning the blind eye here?

I'm not defending the actions of my government nor am I trying to turn a blind eye to the fact that the USA government does some pretty fucked up shit...I live here and I had to deal with PIPA,SOPA,Patriot Act,getting full nude/grabbed if I want to get on an airplane and all this other crap so I know first hand that the USA government is messing up.

The thing is do you honestly believe if the USA actually did try for world peace that every single continent would actually go for it? What you think the Middle East would be right as rain right now without them fighting every day?

That's a huge assumption and a bad one at that...fighting is inevitable and when billion dollar companies control most of what happens in the world it's just a matter of time.

Don't just blame the USA blame everyone in this planets greed for how shitty it is.

please tell me how china will become a super power?
you cant become one if your population lives in 80%+ poverty level. some people dont understand economics that well.
vulcanproject  +   1139d ago
Superpower status is not reliant on how rich your residents are. Soviet Union says hi. Norway and Luxembourg per head are immensely rich, but about as powerful as a wet fart. I don't know if you understand economics, but you sure as hell don't understand politics in the slightest.

Superpower status is generally measured on your worldwide political influence, as a byproduct of your economical and military capability.

China's economy is now the second biggest in the world and rapidly growing. It is the world's largest exporter and the largest foreign owner of USA treasuries. It already has serious influence over the United States economically- you have to face up to that.

It'll rival the United States's size of economy within the next decade according to most experts projections.

Militarily China has a huge air force, and in the process of building their first stealth aircraft which caused much concern in the United States. They have the largest army in the world and a rapidly expanding Navy that will be blue water (the ability to sustain operations far from home waters) inside the next 10 years or so. Their nuclear capability is unquestioned. China also has a serious internet presence, with the worlds largest and most powerful cyber warfare divison.

The Navy is really STILL the key military focus of a superpower (as it has been for centuries now), because a blue water navy with an aircraft carrier task group allows a country to project its power far beyond its own waters, anywhere on the planet. Only a few Navies in the world could be considered full on blue water, generally the British navy, the French navy, and of course USA. A few others are marginal and growing.

China have their first genuinely active aircraft carrier as of this year, several large amphibious transports, dozens of large destroyer class escorts and many more vessels planned. America is worried, because China for the first time in its PRC history has the capability to project true menace in regions it might want to influence with the completion of their aircraft carrier. Regions like Japan and Taiwan, being the most obvious.

China are the next superpower, it is virtually inevitable. You'll wake up one day in the next twenty years and find that the United States will have to bow to China's demands.

In fact this sort of thing is already happening, because the course is locked. USA is already in decline since the end of the cold war. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest to watch its influence eventually peter out and dwindle over the next 50 years much like the British empire.

The signs are all there, maybe people just refuse to see them.

vulcanproject  +   1139d ago
Dunno why all the disagrees. Look at the facts. China bear all the hallmarks of an emerging superpower. Even their space programme is very advanced now and second only to NASA's- except the Chinese can put a human into space and at the moment NASA can't even do that! Let's not ignore the fact China aim to go to the moon, and if accomplished, the United States will no longer have sole claim to such an achievement.

It might be 30 years since the Soviet Union collapsed because the economy was poorly managed but China is blatantly here to stay. You have to take them seriously. A huge American flaw would be to dismiss China with classically perceived American arrogance. It'll be the downfall.

There too much USA bashing in these comments. As a liberal citizen, I'm not happy with a lot of choices made by administrations during the past 10 years. Afghanistan might have been a necessary war, but not Iraq. However - AsimLionheart - Osama Bin Laden WAS in afghan until he fled into Pakistan, so at least that part wasn't a lie. And there is no sizable amount of oil in Afghanistan so your simple minded logic doesn't hold up. They invaded that country to make the whole world safer and prevent more terrorist attacks. Now... Iraq was a huge debacle, no argument there and I wish it hadn't happened.

The point I wanted to make is this: Sure we've made mistakes but if you would rather live in a world where China is the sole super-power... you're fucking insane. China's human rights record from the past few decades is horrific. People like you and me would be rounded up and forced to work in labor camps or die in organ farms if China had their way. You doubt that? Ask that Falun Gong.

It's easy to buy into anti-US propaganda about "all we want is oil" but the truth is much more complicated than that. USA is like the father that everyone resents... but once they are gone you realize how much they actually did for you.

It's not the oil the US wants in Pakistan and Afghanistan(there isn't any). It's the HUGE amounts of semiprecious metals and precious stones and metals. Our electronics are comprised of those semiprecious metals and we need more places to find them. That's why we have such an interest in the area. Iraq was for oil, Afg and Pak. were for the metal.

Yeah there are sooooo many profitable mining operations going on there now. We've made sooooo much money off that invasion. Oh... what's that? It cost the USA trillions of dollars, we didn't make any money? Try again fellas. Your loathing of this country is making you irrational. Next you'll be saying we went into Vietnam because we wanted their precious rice reserves. What would you guys have done post 9/11? Maybe we should have asked OBL to pretty please stop training terrorist? The US responded to the biggest terrorist attack in history. The state department warned the Taliban ( a vile and hateful organization) to turn over OBL and they refused. I can promise you NOONE wants to be in that shit-stain of a country longer than they have to.

Maybe I should have clarified it further? I wasn't saying the US went into Afg/Pak for the metal. I'm saying that's (at least one big reason)why they refuse to leave. The geological survey that revealed all the metal and stones was only done a few years ago. Now that the US knows that, they aren't going to leave. They are going to try and stabilize the area so they can ensure they can secure the metal/stones later on.

airsick7- The reason people love to bash USA for every little thing is because they can get away with it and we don't care since it's only words.

Burn a USA we care? Yeah we will see it on tv but nothing will happen to whoever did it.

Burn a Middle East flag..hell pick anyone and guarantee you they will start crying and wanting the heads of everyone.

Burn a Chinese flag..same thing.

We are very lax when it comes to foreign affairs that we don't have money thrown at us to be apart of and it's the reason everyone loves to bash the USA....IF China is able to surivive the bubble burst they will have soon then maybe they will be a superpower but right now it's still way to early to tell.

"Because they couldn't win the war as men?" Spare me. Last time I checked, the US, Brittian, and Russia saved the ENTIRE WORLD from fascist rule during WWII. Where was South America when the Nazis and Japanese were trying to conquer the globe... they were sitting on their ass, useless. Where was Europe, they were already dominated. Where was China? Dominated. Africa, dominated.

And btw lets take a look at how the USA behaves as a super power compared to Nazis, Imperial Japan, Russia, and China. All those countries slaughtered millions. Rounded up entire ethnicities and religions and exterminated them. Go the House of Terror in Budapest and find out about the nazis and soviets. Go to the gas chambers in poland and find out about the Nazis. Go to China and ask them how prisoners were treated under Japanese rule. I've read things that horrify me to this day. Now look at the USA... yes we make mistakes, but nothing like that. We are generally humane and well-intended.

You should be on your knees thanking the men who fought that wretched war. And yet here you are questioning whether or not they were men... from the safety and anonymity of a computer screen. Pathetic.

I abhor the use of nuclear weapons and pray it never happens again, but someone like you doesn't get to pass judgement on what was done in the name of freedom when the world was on the brink of darkness.

Why doesnt any body ever read the papers? because its full of rubbish.
Lets get one thing straight, America doesnt need oil, they have reserves so huge that its more than 4 times the 1 trillion barrels of oil that were used in the last 100 years, and thats only in 2 oil fields, these two fields could produce close to 100,000 barrels of oil a day for the ext 30 years. America is more oil rich than most of the supposed oil nations. Its a political thing buying oil from abroad. america could be free from any burnden put upon them by OPEC in 15 years. So america does not invade countries for oil. thats the only point i make here just to stop the old they do it for oil argument
solidboss07  +   1139d ago
Whatever. As long as Playstation 6 has a Metal Gear game set in that warzone. Seriously though, each nation does what is in their own interests. No body wants to fight a costly war , but each nation must defend itself from not just force, but threat of force and not allow themselved to be contained, lest they become mere footnotes in history. History shows that nations seem blind or oblivious towards how to de-escalate tensions that have led to conflicts in the past, and right now there are tensions simmering and coming to the boil all over the globe. From Europe's boarders-I'm talking about ressurgent Russia, throughout the Middle East to the far East. (and everywhere inbetween). The end of the Cold War, as it was announced, hasn't made the world safer. The American Elite's "New World Order" is slipping from the U.S.A's grasp, to reveal a world of potential turmoil. History repeats itself because humanity repeats itself. The 21st Century will be as bloody, or more so, than the 20th. The only small crumb of comfort for me is Europe is at peace with itself and we are allied to what is still the greatest, most powerfull nation on earth, Ulster-no only joking-,America.
