Windows Phone 8 vs iOS 6 vs Android 4.0

Mobile & Apps: "A few years ago, the smartphone market was considerably different compared to how it is now, but things are changing with Windows Phone 8, Android 4.0, and iOS 6. I have a Motorola RAZR I got for free some time ago and it came with 2.3, but I just recently updated to 4.0 and it looks horrible. The whole interface changed and for the worse. I don't know if it is because it's a Motorola (I am not a fan of those), but there were a lot of changes that ruined the great experience I had with 2.3

Does it have to do with the phone being Motorola, or Android 4.0 did change a lot for the worse? I lost a lot of features and functionality. The widgets are horrible now, I lost a lot of great ones, like the Weather one. I can't hide Apps anymore, and a lot of other stuff.

Its definitely not Android 4.0. That was and still is the biggest GUI change to date, and it certainly has been for the better. The things you described sound like either Motoblur or that specific phone. I'm not really clear on the problems though. I've never heard of Widgets and features just disappearing.

Thanks for replying. It does say it is Android 4.0 in System Settings. Could it be a Motorola's version of Android?

Well yes, that's what I meant by Motoblur. I'm sure they updated it to a newer version to go along with the Android update. The thing I find odd is features disappearing. I would suggest maybe you dig a little deeper into the settings and look around. Motorola may have just moved some things around or renamed them. Hopefully you can find it all.
