Cnet Hands-on: Microsoft Surface Pro lives up to hype

Cnet: While it first might have seemed like laptops and PCs took the year off at CES 2013, there have been a number of notable products that caught our eye. One of them wasn't even on the show floor, or at CES at all.

A great device for those of us that know what it is.

If they offer one with a decent amount of internal storage.. like 64 or 128GB, plus the microSD slot that the RT has, I may just get one. Being able to run any Windows app on my tablet is pretty appealing.

DOSBox tablet? Heck yeah. Maybe I'll dig into a little DOSBox source to get a remappable touch interface working.

I cannot wait for it to release. When can I order it MS? WHEN?

When is it going to be released!!!???

Not a chance I would pay 899 for a tablet especially when it doesn't come with the cover. You can get the same product for less with any of the laptop touch screens which is probably much more functional. I was very much looking forward to selling my ipad for a surface until its ridiculous prices drove me away

I've been waiting on this product for a while.
Can't wait till it hits the ms stores.

While it looks(not aesthetically) WAY better than the SufaceRT, it's still overpriced IMO(just like the RT). At least throw in the keyboard.

[Anandtech] The Microsoft Surface Pro 6 Review: More Than A Color

Microsoft is in a bit of a unique place in the PC space compared to other manufacturers. Other than Apple, Microsoft is the only company that controls both the hardware and software sides, and when the Surface lineup launched way back in 2012, Microsoft’s goal was to showcase the advantages of their platform with a premium hardware lineup. On October 2nd 2018, the company unveiled their sixth iteration of what is now a staple in the PC space, the Surface Pro 6.
