John McAfee Wanted for Murder

Gizmodo: Antivirus pioneer John McAfee is on the run from murder charges, Belize police say. According to Marco Vidal, head of the national police force's Gang Suppression Unit, McAfee is a prime suspect in the murder of American expatriate Gregory Paul, who was gunned down Saturday night at his home in San Pedro Town on the island of Ambergris Caye.

And believe it or not, it's not for killing PC performance -- ZING!

Norton would be on death row if it was.

So in all seriousness, what is a good anti-virus? I'm in the market for one right now and I'd appreciate any and all help.

First and foremost, get Microsoft Security Essentials. It's free and has realtime protection (can catch threats proactively). It isn't very resource hungry, but it is also very slow at doing full scans and updating.

I suggest using something like AVG or Avast also. AVG free updates very fast and scans pretty quickly.

The police report doesn't mention him lol

SilentNegotiator4174d ago

Because he's a suspect, not an object found at the scene of the crime.

Gondee4174d ago

Nothing in the official report mentioned him as a suspect.

An initial report wouldn't name off suspects unless there was SERIOUS evidence at the scene.

McAfee was so confident that he also put up a $100,000 bounty for anyone that could hack it, but was confident (β€œMoney talks, bullshit walks”) that it was simply impossible. First, let’s get something out of the way – nothing is unhackable.
