Today I waited in line in at a quick self checkout.

It took almost 15 minutes for me to get a machine. Observing the line, I see that technology is a struggle for these people. The most simple of simple systems and they were failing at every turn.
It frustrated me for a while; I judged and questioned these people wondering If they had a serious disability, the fails I witnessed were something else.
I had 8 items and I checked out in less than a minute.
it reminded me of traffic. you sit in it and then you get to the front
everything runs smoothly and you wonder why there was traffic in the first place.

I don't get pissed off but it is annoying. To be fair the UI in those self checkout things are horrible.
Straight up this is funny starr, My biggest problem with these things is that they are said to be in place for "Speed and Convenience" but the problem here is that it is basically so they don't have to have staff on hand in order to actually check you out. Saving them money while inconveniencing you in the process.
Compound this with the people who don't know how to operate anything past an AM/FM radio and it can be down right infuriating lol...Stay strong. Go through the single checkout line they ACTUALLY have staff at.
Funny blog man...I never even thought about these things as "Technology" since they feel so poorly executed.
