As a move to expand its G-SYNC ecosystem, NVIDIA has introduced a new program called G-SYNC Compatible that'll enable G-SYNC Support for FreeSync monitors.

This opens the floodgates. Good move all around, maybe even Nvidia's bottom line. People with Freesync monitors will now at least consider Big Green's cards.

I use Nvidia's GPUs with my freesync monitor, I just miss out on using freesync, can't be helped though, I intended to use only AMD cards but wasn't happy with them so I jumped. Knowing what I know now, I would have bought the G-Sync equivalent instead or just not worried about variable refresh rates.
