In my opinion, this is great. Just enjoy the concert instead of looking at it through a phone.

subtenko2881d ago

I can enjoy the concert just as much holding my phone not looking at the screen, as I would enjoy the concert holding up a lighter while freebird is on.....

freshslicepizza2881d ago

too many losers at concerts holding their phones and blocking other people's views but i dont think apple should be getting involved.

Devil-X2881d ago

You can record and not look through the screen at the same time I guess.

Another reason not to use Apple products. I wonder how may of them are self activating the MICs and cameras when we don't know about it?

Devil-X2881d ago

Could be true for all manufacturers, we will never know.

Apple: Paving the way for facism and limiting freedom.

sonicwrecks2881d ago

This is the same Apple that was fighting the FBI not that long ago to maintain your rights, right?

annoyedgamer2881d ago

Ever heard of a publicity stunt?

Devil-X2881d ago

cheap or rather free publicity :p

FlyingFoxy2881d ago

They already limit freedom, why do you think they don't have an SD card slot on their tablets? Rip off artists, and overpriced hardware to boot.

Devil-X2881d ago

they sell storage for a premium not SD cards.

Devil-X2881d ago

yeah, still can't stop devices without infrared :p

donwel2881d ago

Presumably the infrared would be read by the phones cameras as they can see infrared light. Here's an experiment for you. Go grab your phone and turn on its camera, now point your tv remote at it and press a button on the remote. Presto! You can now see the ir beam that your tv remote emits.
All apple would really need to do is have some software on the camera that would recognise what ever code is being sent through IR and act on it.
Not that this is a good idea in the slightest.

So Apple refuses to help the FBI bring known terrorists and mass murderers to justice because it sets a dangerous precedent for privacy concerns...but they are OK with controlling when and where you take pictures and have complete control of your device...ummm..anyone worried much lol???

Devil-X2881d ago

I see Apple is worried about the privacy in both the cases
