NY Times:
Can a software company build its own smartphone? We may find out soon.
This past week, Google completed its acquisition of the hardware maker Motorola Mobility for $12.5 billion, which could lead to the search giant’s making its own smartphone. But another software titan might be getting into the hardware game as well: Facebook.
Messenger will return the Facebook mobile app thanks to Meta.
Now you can get happy birthday messages on your actual birthday instead of some random day.
Facebook has to implement new rules for Facebook Live because people are literally the worst. Now, if you break the rules you'll receive a ban.
This thing is going to fail hard.
Whether they be using Android OS? Writing their own OS? This just sounds like a mess to me. I don't see the facebook brand selling phones at all.FB should only do Software, bcoz FB will fail in Hardware Race even though they are recruiting former Apple employers...
so what will this phone do that no other mobile can.
make calls to facebook friends?
send facebook messages?
keep up with facebook friends?
yeah like those 3 reasons alone are gonna make me buy a phone.
That does it. I won't buy anymore smartphone.. wasting my money for all this crap.
